Help me please if you can

As you all know......I have been dabbling at making banners with the advice of our wonderful friend Nicky ifuseeknicky and they have turned out great,I think.
Anyway, the programs I used were photofiltreStudioX,Photoscape and picnick.
Im looking for help finding other places to make my banners in but when I do find something (like today for instance I came across a place called snagit 10 which isn't bad but is pretty basic and resembles the programs I already used) thats different and has free trial so I can try before I buy, links to it would be great aswell, thanks a million, hope to hear from someone soon.

Can you use this software to enhance photos? Like take a bad pic and make it somewhat better. I need to learn how to do that.

There are gimp tutorials for that sort of thing, I believe. I'll give you a link, but if it isn't quite what you want then just google it lol

I use photoshop but there is a free online photo editing program called Gimp. You can do almost everything that Photoshop does I think. I know quite a few graphic makers who use it and like it.

I once tried gimp, when my computer wasn't fast enough for photoshop.
I can't reco gimp. Yes, it's free and if you just wanna test out graphic in general to see if you like this area, then it's fine.
But if you wanna get good results and wanna have thousands of possibilities (which you dun have in gimp - compared to adobe ps it's very limited) then Photoshop or Paintshop Pro or Open Canvas would be the right choice.

I wonder why you still don't use photoshop.
I believe that everyone who wants to become somewhat more skilled in graphics should use photoshop or a likewise great graphic program.

All those free programs (also the ones you listed) are very VERY limited and imho the results can never meet the quality standards of smth like Adobe Photoshop.

Doesn't cost alot of money to use that?
I might try that Open Canvas,it sounds good ;)

Well, if you buy photoshop new, then it's between 1000 and 300 US$, depends on the version your buy.

but as many others I downloaded a free trial and got a crack from someone, so I can use it always.
